🤓 Preparing to Launch 🚀

The Basics: Other Essentials

Now that we've talked about your Website and Product specifically, let's dive into some other essentials you should make sure to have before launching.

  • Review Sites Profiles: Review sites can be an excellent source of trust-building for your Product's image. Initially, you will probably not have many reviews or success stories, so it is important that you are ready to start collecting these in many ways that matter. Here are a few essential sites that you need to build profiles for your business in: Capterra Trustpilot G2 After you've set up these pages, take the time to ask your customers or beta-testers to add reviews in those profiles for you. Give them an incentive to do so, like early access, free upgrades, and so on. Their time is valuable, make sure you honor them for giving you a valuable review in those reputable sites. This is what you'll be able to do once you have set up those profiles:

  • Start a Blog: If you are launching an app, it is essential to ensure that your business has a blog. Blogging is one of the most important aspects of online marketing and can help grow awareness for your new product before it's even released.   A blog will provide ongoing content that will help attract new customers while also providing valuable information about your company or products. It will also act as a way to get feedback from consumers who may not have heard about you yet but are looking for something similar. Blogs can be used to generate buzz around upcoming launches, announce sales, share customer testimonials, and so much more! With all these benefits combined with the fact that blogging is relatively inexpensive compared to other forms of advertising - why wouldn't you? Example:

  • Be Ready to Present your Product: You must be mentally and physically ready to present your product to the world. What does this mean? First, you should have the proper equipment such as a webcam and microphone to do live product demos and webinars. A fast internet connection is, of course, a necessity when streaming these types of events. Second of all, remember that no one knows your product better than you, and (hopefully) no one is as enthusiastic and pumped up about your product as you. So channel this energy when presenting your product and let people know why you built this and how it can help them. Focusing on providing value is key when doing webinars. If you are launching a Featured Deal, our team handles all of this for you. For those launching on Marketplace, this needs to be organized and done by you, but it is nonetheless important that you do so. Just like the blog post example from above, take a look at the topics and see how none of them are about the product, but about what people can do with the product and how to get value from it.

Now that we've covered all the essentials, it's time to move on to what you should be doing during the launch as your product goes live.
