😎 During the Launch

1min

Now that you have successfully scheduled a launch and there is traffic coming to your sales page, here's what you need to be doing:

  • Share your Launch Everywhere Now is the perfect time to let the whole world know about your launch. Get on all social media channels, tell all your friends and family to tell everyone they know, etc. The more buzz you get around your launch, the better!
  • Push New Updates Updates to your app based on your Roadmap get people excited about the product. Not only that, but it also lets buyers know that you are actively working on improving the product and that their feedback is not taken for granted. Apps that push updates regularly during launch and announce them see at least 3X more activity during their campaigns.
  • Post Weekly on Your Blog Similar to pushing updates, keeping your blog fresh during the launch lets buyers know that your company is active and buzzing. All signs of life and activity are great for engaging potential buyers, and engaged potential buyers become actual buyers easily after that. If you're running short on ideas of what to write, use a tool like Scalenut or Postpace to leverage A.I. and write awesome content. We are often lunching similar tools, so if you missed out on those LTDs, scan the Deals Page regularly for apps that do similar things.
  • Push Everyone to drop Reviews This is the time for you to start asking your buyers for reviews. Incentivize them by giving them some free upgrades, early access to features, a shout-out on social media, or anything of value you can provide in exchange for their honest review of your product. The key is to have them drop reviews inside the Reviews tab at PitchGround. These reviews show up on your sales page and are a great motivator to buy. According to our data, buyers are 93% more likely to buy after reading a review from a trusted PitchGrounder.
  • Handle Negative Reviews ASAP Only some buyers will leave a positive review by themselves if they love your product. But if they had a negative experience with your product, they are much more likely to drop a negative review. When you get a negative review, please don't panic and handle it professionally. First, read the review carefully, and assess what went wrong. Then, determine the best course of action to correct the situation and invite the negative reviewer to allow you to work things through. If you are successful, a buyer will likely rescind their negative review and leave you a positive one instead.
  • Get on Calls with Customers We've already covered why (and where) you need to get reviews, plus how to deal with a negative review. To prevent negative reviews from reaching your sales page, make sure to engage with your customers and build relationships with them. Customers often come to you with their issues and expect to fix them before dropping a negative review. Getting on a call with someone and helping them understand your product if they struggle is a great way to ensure everything runs smoothly. Figure out who your most active customers are, and invite them for a discovery call, ask them questions and listen to what they have to say. It is often a great source of new ideas when you are on a call with a customer that is actively using the product and trying to get value from it as you intended in the first place.
  • Send out a Weekly Newsletter This would be an email where you include everything exciting that is going on in your company. Did you write a blog post? Did you add a new feature? Did you raise funds? Etc. It's important to keep your buyers engaged and let them know you're still around and active during the campaign.
  • Do a Weekly Podcast Podcasts are a great way to engage users and give value to them by offering free tips and interesting interviews. This can be done on a weekly or monthly basis. Pick a topic that is interesting to your buyer's profile and just talk about it for a nice 15-30 minutes.
  • Keep Yourself in Good Spirits Launch time can be stressful, and downright taxing on your body and mind. Remember to always take care of yourself so that you are able to perform daily. If you are an active outdoorsy type of person, go out for a walk or hike. If you like staying indoors and entertaining yourself, watch a movie or play a video game. Relaxing and maintaining good spirits by doing whatever else you love to do, is key. It will help you during this launch and during your normal day-to-day as well to remember to take at least 1 hour of your day for yourself. If you've done everything else we asked for above, you certainly earned it!

Now, let's talk about what you should do after the launch is over, and the adrenaline stops pumping on a daily basis.
